On September 12th,2020 The Government office issued Notification No. 330/TB-VPCP on re-opening usual commercial flights between Vietnam and some counterparts as follows:

- From September 15th,2020 for the flights: Vietnam – China (Guangzhou), Vietnam – Japan (Tokyo), Vietnam – Korea (Seoul), Vietnam – Taiwan, China (Taipei).
- From September 22nd,2020 for the flights: Vietnam – Campuchia (Phnom Penh), Vietnam – Laos (Vientiane).
- Flights flight occurrence rate: no more than 2 flights/week for each party and counterparts (the flights’ quantity can be considered to increase due to the practical situation)
- Comply with the principle of reciprocity with partners in terms of the total number of passengers on flights, fees and other immigration conditions.
- For foreigners who are specialists, investors, enterprise managers, high-skilled workers and their relatives, before entering to Vietnam on the flights from 6 above locations (not including passengers who transit from a third country) must strictly meet the following conditions:
- Must have RT-PCR certificate with a negative result with SARS-CoV-2 issued by an competent medical agency in the host country within 3 days before taking off (except for some areas may not issue this kind of certificate);
- Being tested by RT-PCR right after the entry in the isolation area.
- Being isolated in the factory, enterprise headquarter or hotel, other accommodation as regulated
The aforementioned foreigners will be considered for applying a shorter isolation period (about 5 days) after getting two consecutive negative results by RT-PCR; these qualified foreigners shall be allowed to carry out self-isolation, medical supervision at home, enterprise headquarter (for specialists, investors who are entitled to work according to attached plan for ensuring measures to prevent and control epidemics) as regulated by the law.
