Registration fees for domestically assembled vehicles are cut by 50%

On November 26th, 2021, The Government promulgates the Decree No. 103/2021/ND-CP prescribing the rates of registration fees for motor vehicles, trailers or semi-trailers towed by motor vehicles and the likes which are domestically manufactured or assembled, thereby:

  • From December 1, 2021, to end of May 31, 2022, the amounts of registration fees are decreased by 50% of the ones that are mentioned to in Decree No. 20/2019/ND-CP on amendments to Decree No. 140/2016/ND-CP regarding registration fees; Resolutions of People’s Councils or Decisions of provincial People’s Committees regarding local registration fees; documents stating revision, supplementation and replacement of the aforesaid (if any)
  • From June 1, 2022 onwards: Registration fees will be restored to the ones referred to in Decree No. 20/2019/ND-CPon amendments to Decree No. 140/2016/ND-CP regarding registration fees; Resolutions of People’s Councils or Decisions of provincial People’s Committees regarding local registration fees; documents stating revision, supplementation and replacement of the aforesaid (if any)

Decree No. 103/2021/ND-CP takes effect from December 1st, 2021 to end of May 31st, 2022
