On 25 Jan 2017, Goverment issued Decree No. 07/2017/NĐ-CP on procedures on pilot grant of e – visas for foreigners. Accordingly:
- For foreigners:
- Access the website for registration of personal information.
- Receive codes for e-files and pay visa fee.
The applicant will have to wait for 3 days since the reciept day of full information and fee, the result will be on the website.
The applicant use granted code to find out the results issued by Immigration Management Department on the website, they use granted code to print out the e – visa if the applicant’s dossier is approved.
- For Vietnam based organisation, individuals wishing to invite or provide guarantee for foreigners:
- Before requiring to grant visas for foreigners, the Viet Nam based organisations register e – account and e signature as regulated in Law on E –Transactions and other relevant documents.
- The organisations use e-accounts to access the website to register to grant e-visa for foreigners.
- Immigration Management Department considers, solves and give the final results on the website in 3 working days since the day receiving the information and fee in full..
- The organisations use granted code to receive the Department’s results on the website and inform these results of their visitors.
- The foreigners use granted code to print out e-visa.
In addition, Decree also regulates the list of nations eligible for e-visa scheme and border gates through which entry and exit with e-visas are permitted.
This Decree will be effective for 2 years, starting from 01 February 2017.
