On 18th December 2019, Vietnam Social Insurance issued Official Letter No. 4733/BHXH-CSXH on reorganizing and guiding the handling of some existing problems in organizations implementing Social Insurance and Unemployment Insurance. Accordingly, General Director of Vietnam Social Insurance requests:
Regularly check and review the cases that have occured an extraordinary increase in the social insurance premium for the period of 06 months within 12 months before childbirth or adoption. Carry out investigation into cases where there were adjustments of reduction of social insurance premium, or reduction of the process of payment of social insurance premium in the period in which entitlement to sickness and maternity benefits were calculated, in order to notify the Department of Social Insurance Regime to adjust the level of entitlement and reclaim the excessive paid amount.
