The Ministry of Labor – Invalids and Social Affairs is drafting a Circular to issue a list of jobs with strict requirements on occupational safety and health.
In the draft, the Ministry of Labor – Invalids and Social Affairs proposed 38 jobs with strict requirements on occupational safety and health, 21 more jobs than those specified in Circular 13/2016/TT- BLĐTBXH, which is currently applied.
Some common jobs are included in this list, e.g:
- Cooking jobs at restaurants, hotels, collective kitchens;
- Healthcare; taking care of disabled and sick people; pathology surgery, microbiological testing; jobs in the pharmaceutical field; testing and producing veterinary drugs; keeping genetically modified strains, microorganism strains and parasites;
- Manual loading and unloading;
- Production and processing of food, beer, wine, soft drinks, cigarettes, salt, cooking oil, confectionery, sugar, milk;
- Operating scanners;
- Working with computer screen devices including air traffic control, operating, remote control via monitors
The draft stated that employers who hire employees to do work with strict requirements on occupational safety and health are responsible for reviewing, listing and organizing training courses in order to issue occupational safety cards in accordance with current regulations.
The draft is posted on the protal of Government, the Ministry of Labor – Invalids and Social Affairs as well as on the mass media to get opinions from organizations and individuals.
