On March 07th, 2025, the Government issued Resolution No. 44/NQ-CP, accordingly, visa exemptions for citizens of the following countries: the Federal Republic of Germany, French Republic, Italian Republic, Kingdom of Spain, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Russian Federation, Japan, Republic of Korea, Kingdom of Denmark, Kingdom of Sweden, Kingdom of Norway, and Republic of Finland with a temporary stay period of 45 days from the date of entry, regardless of passport type or entry purpose, on the basis of fully meeting the entry conditions according to regulations of Vietnamese law.
The visa exemption policy for citizens of the above countries will be implemented from March 15th, 2025 to March 14th, 2028, and will be considered for extension according regulations of Vietnamese law.
Previously, citizens of the above 12 countries were exempted from visas to enter Vietnam for 45 days according to Resolution No. 32/NQ-CP in 2022 and Resolution No. 128/NQ-CP in 2023. These two Resolutions will expire on March 15th, 2025.
