On June 30th, 2024, the Government issued Decree No. 73/2024/ND-CP, accordingly:
From July 1st, 2024, the base salary is 2.34 million VND/month instead of the current 1.8 million VND/month, applicable to officials, civil servants, public employees, and armed forces personnel.
The base salary is also used as the basis for calculating the highest salary for social insurance (SI) and health insurance (HI) contributions, which is 20 times the base salary; as the basis for calculating benefits based on the base salary such as: one-time childbirth allowance, occupational accident allowance, and occupational disease.
This Decree takes effect from July 1st, 2024.
