On March 15, 2022, the Ministry of Health issued Official Letter No. 1265/BYT-DP on the prevention and control of COVID-19 for people on entry, according to which:
Test requirements:
a) For people entering by air route: have negative test results for SARS-CoV-2 before departure within 72 hours (with RT-PCR/RT-LAMP method), within 24 hours (with the rapid antigen test method), and certified by the competent authority of the country performing the test.
b) For people entering by other routes (road, waterway, railway): have test results as a) or perform SARS-CoV-2 test within the first 24 hours after entry.
c) Children under 2 years old are not required to be tested for SARS-CoV-2 and are allowed to enter the country if they have not been vaccinated and have never been infected.
Requirements for medical declaration and quarantine at the border:
a) Must make a medical declaration before entry and use the medical declaration application (PC-COVID) during the stay according to the regulations.
b) If there are symptoms of SARS-CoV-2 infection at the border gate, immediately notify the health authority to take medical measures as prescribed.
Requirements for health monitoring:
a) Within 10 days from the date of entry: self-monitor your health and notify health authorities if there are symptoms of SARS-CoV-2 infection; take preventive measures such as wearing masks, disinfecting hands.
b) If there is no negative test result before exiting: during the process of moving to the place of residence, restrict parking along the way; avoid contact with people around.
