Korea surpassing Japan became the largest FDI investors
According to the latest of report of Foreign Investment Agency, in the first 4 months of 2014 there are 36 countries and territories possessing the invested project in Vietnam.
Korea surpassing Japan became the largest FDI investors with the total new registered capital gets $ 1.12 billion, occupying 23.1 percent total invested capital in Vietnam. All Japanese enterprises poured $ 531 million into Vietnam; the following is Singapore with $ 479.18 million.
The huge invested projects in Vietnam can be counted such as Thang Long Cement Factory (Indonesia) in Quang Ninh province with more than $ 325 million of invested capital; Ilshin factory (Korea) in Tay Ninh province with $ 177 million. In the first 4 months of this year, 140 operating FDI projects applied to increase capital widening the production in Vietnam, thus, added $1.62 billion capital.
